The path of the mystic

 

I agree that we cannot remain silent about things that are ‘ineffable’. What has inspired me a lot is reading people's mystical experiences. Those that could bring back some of the Divine wisdom back through the barrier of ineffability. I would go as far as saying it is the mystic's duty to bring down the Divine into the world of materialism.

Between knowing a fact about a thing and knowing its nature. To know facts about something, you use the intellect, reasoning and language, but to know the nature of something, you have to become one with it. It is like giving all the facts of a mango to someone that have never seen one. But does not matter how good your explanations are, you can never give the person the experience of tasting a mango. This is the conundrum of the mystic.

Instead of asking how we know that the Divine has revealed himself in a particular tradition, we could ask how I can experience the Divine myself.

Imagine there is an isolated community which have evolved with zero or very limited emotions. They have very highly developed intellectual capacities and normal physical abilities. Their society is organised using their amazing intellect, and through this, all their physical needs are met.

Now imagine a man from this community travels to a far distant land and falls deeply in love with a woman. This deep love overrides his intellectual reasoning, and her physical well-being becomes more important than his own. After a few months, he travels back to his community and is faced with the ‘ineffability’ of explaining to them what ‘being in love’ is. This is the conundrum of the mystic.

How can the mystic use intellectual language to express the burning light of the Divine shining out from his heart? How many times does the mystic need to hug his companions to give them a glimpse of the experience that they are all one with the Divine and always have been? How does one describe the burning compassion of the flame of love in your heart to others who only have the tools of the intellect and physical body? This is the conundrum of the mystic.

The only way to know the nature of the Divine is to experience it for yourselves. Jumping off the cliff of the intellect into the heart of the Divine. Falling and falling into the everlasting deep waters of Divine love flowing around you and flowing through you. Until your heart explodes into a song of everlasting love. This is the path of the mystic.

In this context Love is Divine Love, a Love that serves the universe outside you and the universe inside you in a balanced way.  

 

The Mirror Illusion

In two mirrors facing each other. you see the infinite reflection of yourself.

That is how physical time and space work, and your physical eyes see the illusion.

Inside the two mirrors, you see the future and past of our linear world.

Outside the glass box, you experience the infinite divine love of now.

To see the other side of the mirror, you need to see through it with your heart.

The next time you see a tree or mountain, look with your heart.

The next time you look at your loved one, look behind the mirror of their physical appearance. 

Then you will see infinite waves of light and love dancing to the music of their soul.

Balance and Harmony

Just like in physics there is no cold in and of itself but just the absence of heat. In our universe there is no evil in and of itself but the absence of balance and harmony.

Don't be hasty, time will come.

The rose bush push out many leaves before there is a rose. Meaning I am happy to push out my spiritual green leaves in silence and only when asked give my spiritual roses.

Prayer

Muslim  In the name of Allah, the beneficent, the merciful.  Praise by to the Lord of the Universe who has created us and made us into tribes and nations.  And the servants of God, most gracious are those who walk on the Earth in humility, and when we address them, we say "PEACE."  That we may know each other, not that we may despise each other.  If the enemy incline towards peace, do thou also incline towards peace, and trust in God, for the Lord is the one that heareth and knoweth all things.

    Buddhist  May all beings everywhere plagued with sufferings of body and mind quickly be freed from their illnesses.  May those frightened cease to be afraid, and may those bound be free.  May the powerless find power, and may people think of befriending one another.  May those who find themselves in trackless, fearful wildernesses - the children, the aged, the unprotected - be guarded by beneficent celestials, and may they swiftly attain Buddhahood.

    Native American  O Great Spirit of our Ancestors, I raise my pipe to you.  To your messengers the four winds, and to Mother Earth who provides for Your children.  Give us the wisdom to teach our children to love, to respect, and to be kind to each other so that they may grow with peace in mind.  Let us learn to share all good things that You provide for us on this Earth.

The whole physical universe is a fractal of the Golden Mean.

The Biggest Mistake of Humanity

The biggest mistake of humanity is thinking that there is something wrong with us. That we have some how fallen from grace, separated from God. That Adam and Eve made a big mistake and that we are all still suffering for it.

From another point of view that you somehow have get out of the illusion of the material world. That we are all trapped in Samara and have to get to nirvana.

We are perfect just as we are.

From Faith to Knowing

It is my wish that all religious people can move from faith to an experience of knowing. So that it is not a question of "Do you believe?" or "Do you have faith?" but "I know" and "I have experience" of the Divine Light.

Atheism is a very natural state that the soul experience during its evolution. Just like a teenager or young adult that needs to be separated from her parents to find her self. With a road trip or year travel without the parents supervision.

So to the soul must spend sometime with the illusion that she is separated from God. To find her own individual self consciousness.

And like the young adult that then refind her relationship with her parents. So to the Soul will reconnect with God. Rediscovering the oneness with God but this time including the consciousness of the divine individual Soul.
